Ana Lucia

Ana Lucia

One of our church members, Ana Lucia, planted a lovely garden out behind the church in Talin. She has planted beans, pineapples and papachinas in the vegetable garden. She said she loves to work in the dirt with her hands. She also has numerous flowers planted around the church because she loves to look at the beautiful flowers. Anytime you see Ana now, she always wears the biggest smile and is full of joy. In service, she is always the first one to stand and testify, or sing the loudest, or praise God with her voice, or raise her hands to worship Him. Ana told us that every day she walks to the church. Whether it be to work in her gardens or just to simply be there, as it is her sanctuary.

What you won’t know just by seeing Ana Lucia, is that only two short years ago she could not do any of the things she enjoys now. She could not see the beautiful flowers she enjoys so much, she could not walk to church, she could not work in the dirt with her hands, she could not lift her voice in Praise to God. You see, only two years ago, Ana was an invalid. She could not walk or talk, had to be force fed because she could not swallow, had no use of her hands whatsoever, and could not see more than a shadow. But God has healed Ana Lucia of a dreadful sickness that even the Doctor’s could not diagnose or treat. And now she is determined more than ever to spend every day joyfully serving God, learning more about Him and thanking Him for the miracle of healing He has given her.
