Sr. Domingo and Sra. Laura

This couple has been married for many years (I believe around 40 or so). Sr. Domingo told us recently that when they wed, they had never met! They wed sight unseen. He had come home from the military, and was working, trying to provide for himself. And someone mentioned he needed a wife. So, he agreed that he did, and they had just the wife for him. So a week later, Sr. Domingo showed up at the registro civil (civil registry) and Sra. Laura arrived, too, and they met and married right then and there! Arranged marriages (as in many countries) were not so uncommon back in the day, and still take place in some areas of Ecuador today. As for Sr. Domingo and Sra. Laura, they have been married many years, have numerous children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We love this family!
