Unwanted Visitor

Well, I guess it was bound to happen while we were here. An ‘unwanted visitor’ showed up for service at Puyupungo Church a few days ago. It was a venomous jungle snake. I’m certain this wasn’t the right spirit, but I knew only one of us was coming out of this alive. And until the very end I didn’t know for sure who would be left standing. Thankfully, I am still here to tell the story.

This is the perfect example of why one of the greatest assets of a jungle Missionary is a machete. Susan has one at every church, in the vehicle and in every room of her house. This definitely ain’t no tropical vacation we are on. This is serious stuff! And the most AMAZING adventure of my life!!

I cannot say it enough, ‘Thank you Lord for the incredible Missionaries who are willing to go….’
