During my recent trip to the States I shared this testimony in my services. For those who were not able to attend any services, I’d like to briefly share it with you, too.
Four years ago, as I was walking into town to buy food for families, I saw a lady and 4 children sitting on the sidewalk. She looked sad and burdened by the cares of this life. I immediately went over and greeted her, talking to her, telling her about Jesus and inviting her to Church. She was so happy, so grateful that someone ‘noticed’ her!
On that following Sunday, I was so happy that she and those children came to church at Puyo! The next week, she, her husband and all 6 of their children were there! She fell in love with Jesus, and since then, Sis Rocio and 2 of her children have received the Holy Ghost and been baptized in Jesus name and her husband has also been baptized! It’s amazing what Jesus has done! Sis Rocio is on fire for the Lord, loves working on the Mission Field with me and telling others about Jesus.
Sis Rocio is a Shuar native from the village of Macuma, which is 100 miles from Puyo, going deeper into the beautiful Amazon jungle. Last year, She came to me and told me she had a great burden for her people, explaining to me that no one in her village had ever heard the Truth and she wanted to go and bring it to them. After fasting and praying, we felt led to start Bible Study in Macuma. Following several months of beautiful Bible Studies, the Lord told me it was time to build a Church in Macuma!
So in January of this year, the Church in Macuma was completed and we had our very first service with all of these beautiful Shuar! This is the 5th Church that we have built in Ecuador and the Lord just continues to amaze me with all the great things He is doing! The harvest is PLENTY and we are continuing daily to reach Ecuador, one soul at a time.
