Due to some recent torrential rains and strong winds, our outhouse and rain barrel at the Puyuypungo Church sustained a lot of damage. Thankfully we were Blessed to be able to have it ‘remodeled’ recently. Now, it may not look like much to some, but to a jungle Missionary this is what the Blessings of God look like!
There is no running water or electricity at our Puyupungo Church. The lack of indoor plumbing is very common in many of the homes throughout the Amazon. So, having an outhouse with an actual commode in it (you just dump a bucket of water in to flush it) is a Blessing that not everyone here gets to experience.
All of the Puyupungo Church people were so excited to see the remodel and were just going on about how beautiful it is!! One precious Sister said she just wanted to stay in the bathroom and not come out!!
Anytime I feel like moaning and complaining, or if I get tired or weary, I just look around at all the amazing things that God has provided for us. And after being on this Mission Field for nearly 20 years, I can truly say that the Lord is so faithful!! He continues to amaze me, and He did again with this beautiful new outhouse.
