Real missionary work is not for wimps!

Yesterday and today we worked very hard at Yantana and Puyupungo churches. My part at both places included: cutting the tall grass on the outside all the way around the fences with a machete; then lugging I don’t know how many gallons of water and chemical on my back fumigating; weed-eating grass; helping Charles cut down a big tree and clean it up; harvesting yuca (which is hard work done by hand, as they are a root that grows deep into the ground, and our yuca garden in Yantana is on the side of a huge hill!); knocking down and cleaning up a termite nest in the Puyupungo church. And friends, I’m certain this is why I don’t have a husband!!! lol Because it comes down to ‘whatever it takes to win a soul, that is my part’. I am willing! How does all this pertain to winning a soul? Because it’s about loving the Father’s house, keeping it beautiful and welcoming to everyone, that souls will come and fall in love with Jesus, too, and it’s about gardens that produce food for hungry children and families. So it may not seem appealing or glamorous to many, but it is so rewarding and blessed! And I sure do love it!!!!!
