Plate Full of Love

I’ve heard the expression many times that something is ‘cooked with love.’ But Sis Yolanda took that to a whole different level recently when she cooked this beautiful and delicious meal for me in her home. At first glance it looks like a regular plate of food. But as she told me the significance of each item she chose to serve me this day, I could hardly hold back the tears.

She explained that chicken was one that she raised and that I had provided the feed for. The rice was from a bag that I had given her one day when I just showed up at her house, not knowing her circumstances, but she had absolutely nothing to eat. She made the peanut sauce from peanuts she had planted only four months ago, that she had me come and pray over and the Lord Blessed and multiplied them and now she has more than enough! She said that she felt that the least she could do was to give something back to the woman of God who so faithfully has taught her the Word of God and given so generously to her.

When we give we expect absolutely nothing in return! But Sis Yolanda will never know just how much she gave me this day!
