Ministry in the jungle often offers much different circumstances than in the States. At all of my Churches, on any given service day, whether it’s a 10 am service or a 4PM service, many of the people will will have only eaten one meal for the day, if any at all. Certainly not by choice, but rather due to hardships or poverty. Three meals a day here, though maybe not a necessity, would certainly be considered a miracle for many.
This is the biggest reason I love to do rice (Food) distribution, and I do it on a regular, almost daily, basis. And,of course, I always give them the harvest from all of the Church gardens. But as funds allow, I also love to bring special treats to all the services at each Church for them to enjoy. Sometimes it may only be a bag of candy, and the adults are just as happy to receive it as the children! But other days I am able to bring a little more, such as in this picture. Delicious Banana bread, cookies, cheese crackers, lollipops and drinks! I can’t tell you how excited they get to have such a ‘luxury’. And it makes me so happy to be able to provide that to them!! Thank you to my faithful, precious supporters for helping me to feed them, body and Soul.
Matthew 25:35 “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in.”
