On this Father’s Day, it is my great pleasure to give honor to my Amazing Dad. He has the answer to every question I ask. He’s the one who can fix anything (even Aaron Paul already thinks so. lol)! Dad is the hardest worker I know. He is also one of my biggest fans. He always tells me, “You’re my favorite Missionary.” 
There’s so much I can say about him, but today one thing that’s on my heart the most is that my Dad is a praying man. He has set an example for us to build an altar, and make time with Jesus everyday. Get in His presence, thank Him, love Him, seek His face.
I read about Fathers who built altars in the Bible, great men of God like Abraham. And, from there, his son Isaac also built altars, following his dad’s example. Then from that, his grandson Jacob learned and he, too, built an altar to the Lord. 3 generations of men who sought after God, who offered sacrifice to Him, who worshipped Him. I know that of all things my Dad has taught me, this is the most valuable one, Build an Altar. Pray every day. It’s the greatest weapon there is. It can change the most difficult of circumstances. Call unto the Lord at the altar, and He will answer. And this is exactly what I have done. And wow!! How my life has been blessed because of it.
And now, I, too, carry it on and teach that same lesson here. I will be preaching it again this weekend and I’ll be reminding the Dad’s here that everything can turn around, everything can be made new, if you build an altar in your home, in your daily life. And I’ll encourage them to pass it on to the next generation in their family.
I’m so thankful for this great lesson and gift that Dad gave me! And so, I honor him on this special day. “Thank you Dad! Love you so much!”
