Blessings of the Lord

It’s Ann again. Susan has ‘fancy’ outhouses at her jungle churches. Although there’s no running water, they have a regular house commode in them and you just get a bucket of water from the rain barrel to flush. The people in the jungle communities do not have such a luxury, as many have no bathroom facilities at all. Therefore, these ‘bathrooms’ at the churches have been a HUGE Blessing for all the people.

I personally know that a few American visitors have refused to use these outhouses. I am not saying they are wrong. But it made my heart break for sure. The natives here did not understand how something that is such an incredible Blessing to them could be looked down on by others. I don’t understand that either.

I suppose it’s just a matter of perspective.
